After graduating from Rider I moved to Norman, Ok where I attended the University of Oklahoma graduating in 1982. I moved back to Wichita Falls after graduation and a year later married David Whitaker (WFHS Class of 1973).
I started my career in banking and then worked for GII Ad Group for 11 years.
Our son Scott was born in 1991. I left GII in 1985 and worked part time for a couple of years (last with Hospice of WF) prior to relocating back to Norman so David could accept a CEO position in health care. We have been in Norman since late 1999. Life was very full with a boy active in athletics! I did some freelance work but didn’t work full time until opening the Pilates studio in 2012.
Our son went to Drake Univ for a couple of years to play ball and after a knee injury decided to finish at Texas Christian University which was an amazing choice for him and for us! He will be getting married this summer to a darling TCU girl named Ashley Day and for now they will make their home in Fort Worth.... And so a new chapter begins....
In my free time - which isn’t much as a business owner - we love working on our home and yard, enjoy pool and patio time and our favorite vacation spot on Grand Cayman where we’ve gone for almost 35 years! Hoping to venture out a bit more as work obligations begin to wind down for us one of these days! Meanwhile will look forward to seeing everyone in November!
